Pergamon, an exceptional museum
Today, I enjoyed my day off to visit one of the most visited museum in Berlin, the Pergamon Museum. This place is full of masterpieces of the past and allows to learn more about our ancestors, their history and then ours.
Built on Museum Island in 1930 right in between the wars, the museum displays treasures of sculpture and architecture from both Greece and Rome as Babylon. Unfortunately, much of the building was under construction, I could not access all parts of the exhibition. Indeed, three collections distinctness are offered to visitors, several rooms, connected by wide staircases.
You will travel in time through the market of Miletus, the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar's Palace or the Mshatta Jordan. Write it down, Pergamon museum, you have an appointment with history!
