Filmhaus, behind the german screen
Inside the Sony Center is the museum of German cinema and television. Packed with technology and elegantly arranged, the rooms offer to travel through about a century of German cinema. From the pioneers such as Fritz Lang's masterpiece "Metropolis" to controversial work with "The Gods of the Stadium" by Leni Riefenstahl, between art film and Nazi propaganda, to icons: Marlene Dietrich; the exhibition looks very rich and instructive !
Each room is devoted to a time and it seems so logical to move from the films in black and white to the films in color and to discover the first special effects. A large number of video clips, models and posters are feeding the interest of the museum and pay tribute to a German cinema often overlooked or underestimated. The only negative is that it is forbidden to take pictures. Nevertheless, the guards are still there and there are no surveillance cameras in every room ...
